Services
Motion Control México operates across four complementary fronts: on-set production with a certified operator, in-camera VFX engineering, turnkey workshop and studio integration, and custom rigs for virtual production and stop motion setups. Every service draws on the General Lift International technology portfolio, of which we are the official distributor.
Live Action MoCo
Motion control operation for high-end film and commercial production. The Genuflex MK III system carries professional cinema cameras with sub-millimeter repeatability and integrates with straight and curved tracks up to 42 ft. Certified operator included.
Stop Motion and Table Top
Stop-U-Matic Senior and Junior rig operation for stop motion and table top production. The same technology used by Laika, Stoopid Buddy Studios, and Taller del Chucho. Dragonframe integration via the Kuper/Dragon interface. Certified operator or training for your team.
On-set VFX engineering
Design of impossible shots that require exact movement repetition: double exposures, chroma key composites, live action plus animation integration, and actor-duplication scenes. We work alongside VFX supervisors and directors of photography.
Turnkey integration
Full design, importation, installation, and calibration of stop motion workshops and production sets. Flagship case: Taller del Chucho, where Guillermo del Toro filmed Pinocchio, winner of the 2023 Oscar® for Best Animated Feature. Includes training for the client's technical team and ongoing support.
Stop Motion Rigging Solutions
We provide rigs of all scales and the technical mastery essential for high-end stop motion productions. Our track record includes key contributions to projects such as Pinocho (G. del Toro). We were responsible for the assembly of the "Taller del Chucho" studio, the facility where the 2023 Academy Award®-winning film Pinocchio was produced.
Real-world applications in film and advertising
Twelve verifiable examples of how motion control solves shots that would otherwise be impossible, dangerous, or unrepeatable. Each case, a real film.
Scale motion control
Filming scenes at different scales simultaneously. The director sees both in real time and directs both.
The Hobbit · Gods of Egypt
Same actor, doubled
One actor appears twice or more in the same scene. Each pass perfectly synchronized.
Nutty Professor with Eddie Murphy · Matrix Reloaded with Hugo Weaving
Crowd duplication
A small group of extras multiplied across dozens of passes to fill the scene.
Apocalypto · Michael Jackson's This Is It · Battle of Waterloo
Impossible choreography
Precise camera moves that synchronize lights and set elements in a single program.
Panic Room · Mitsubishi automotive commercials
Hazardous scenes
Explosions, heights, crashes — filmed separately to composite the shot without putting the actor at risk.
Vanilla Sky with Tom Cruise · Live Free or Die Hard
Actor and background separated
The background was filmed on location and the actor added later using the tracking data of the original move.
Into the Wild
Live action with miniatures
Matching camera moves between live action and scale miniatures. Still a vital filmmaking technique today.
The Lord of the Rings · Alien vs Predator · King Kong
Transparent figures
Invisible characters, semi-transparent figures, or speed effects. Each pass builds the final composite.
Hollow Man · The Chronicles of Riddick
Precision table top
Exact camera and product moves synchronized. The same shot repeated with small variations.
Food commercials where the product transforms on screen
Mixed frame rates
Mixing 24, 48, or more fps within a single frame. The world slows down around the actor.
Spielberg's Catch Me If You Can · Green Day's American Idiot
Scenes with animals
Animal and actor filmed in separate passes. Ideal when the animal is hard to coordinate or the actor prefers not to share the set.
Doctor Dolittle with Eddie Murphy · Gambit
Music videos
Where directors seek a look never seen before. The impossible shot that stays in the viewer's memory.
Where motion control reveals its full creative potential
Encodacam: Real-Time Virtual Production.
Our Encodacam service transforms your green screen or LED volume into a live virtual environment, allowing directors to view virtual assets and foreground elements in real time during the shoot. This facilitates immediate creative decision-making on set and significantly reduces uncertainty in the VFX pipeline.
The Perfect Shot for Your Brand.
High-speed, high-precision robotic captures, essential for beauty shots, pack shots and product cinematography
Ideal for automotive, food, or cosmetics commercials, where precise, repeatable camera moves are required for multi-version campaigns.
